Guess who is King of Hip Hop!

At the end of every decade a group of judges come together to decide who inevitably is the King of Hip Hop. This what they base it on rhyme skill, flow, buzz, commercial success, business ventures, web presence and cultural influence. So present to you the BET Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century:

1. Eminem- No need to explain why, but he sold more records than anyone on the list. His ultimate skill level earned him the respect of all his peers.

2. Lil Wayne- Young Money Mogul has shown the most growth and versatility than anyone this decade.

3. Kanye West- Highly successful rapper and producer and has really improved his rap game since his debut.

4. 50 Cent - Fifty released 4 albums over the past decade and three of which has gone platinum some even multi platinum.

5. T.I.- Controvesy follows him but have no doubt he is the King of the South.

6. Ludacris- Punchline line killer and always produces quality music.

7. Drake- A relative new comer but definitely deserves his place on the list.

8. Young Jeezy- Represents what being a Gangster Rapper is all about and is consistent with his hardcore delivery.

9. Jadakiss- His complex rhymes and verses with deeper meaning is what still keeps him amongst raps elite.

10. Rick Ross- Consistently produces quality music.

The keyword I guess is consistency dedication and not being afraid to try new things.
So we will consistently keep you up to date with what's what in the world of hip hop.

Here's MTV's Hottest Emcee In The Game List for 2010.

1. Eminem
2. Jay Z
3. Kanye West
4. Drake
5. Rick Ross
6. Nicki Minaj (first female to make this list ever.

7. Lil Wayne
8. Wacka Flocka

Lloyd Banks and Eminem

Lloyd Banks is due to release his new album titled "Hunger For More 2." It is going to be released 23rd November and if the feature list is anything to go by, then the album is going to be fire. Collabs include Tony Yayo, 50 cent, Styles P, Juelz Santana, Ryan Leslie, Kanye West, Swizz Beats, Akon, Lloyd, Raekwon, Governor and of course Eminem.

This won't be there first collab but it promises to be different. They both featured on each others previous albums but Bank's says this is a unique track and its powerful. People will like it for different reasons the subject matter is one thing, as well as the overall delivery according to Bank's.
The title of the track is "Where I'm At" so watch out for this one especially after the spectacular return of Em.

At the moment I can't imagine Hip Hop without Eminem, but imagine if he had listened to the doubters when starting out. Em was told he would never be able to cut it in this industry that he now controls, because of his skin colour. Boy did he prove them wrong, just shows how far hard work and determination can take u, sky's the limit. I'm sure the future didn't look to bright after dropping out of school in Grade 9 but he made the best out of what he had and just look.

So if u have a dream and everything looks impossible right now, just know your determination determines your destination.
So peace I'm outy and don't forget to give me a shouty.

Jozi Beef

Word on the street is that Da L.E.S and Hydro are having beef, ek praat van mens vleis beef. Apparently it all began at a venue in Jhb. While Da L.E.S was on stage perfoming the Dj called Hydro to the stage for some convo, as he tried to make his way to the Dj, Da L.E.S pushed him off stage.
In case you not that familiar with Hydro he is featured in Octave Couplets track Do Your Thang, and was also among the nominees of the Channel O "Most Gifted Young Artists."

Very disrespectful of him hope it doesn't end up like Tupac and Biggie.

We all for beef on the charts and not the street, ma as jy kan uitdeel moet jy kan staan.

Pocket Rocket- Ford Focus RS

This RS is one of only 60 vehicles that was destined to South African shores. This car is a product of Ford Team RS and their goal was to create a car with power, performance and precision to trade lap times with far more exotic vehicles and be a benchmark for performance and value for money.

This car develops 224 kw @ 6500 rpm and 440 Nm torque from its 2.5 litre power plant, whereas the ST only develops 166 kw @ 6000 rpm and 320 Nm torque.
The RS is 4wd and has a 6 speed gearbox and comes standard with 19 inch wheels. It has better Recaro leather bucket seats and everything you would expect from a car with a R480 000 price tag.

So in short this is an amazing vehicle and it f**** off. So if see one at the robot don't make yourself a spy and want to dice.
If you skarreling then this is definitely not the car for you, but if you can skarrel enough money to pay for it your next mission will be to find one.

This particular car belongs to Fabian that owns Precision Auto Towing and forms part of his vast collection of amazing vehicles which includes a Porsche GT3 and a Ferrari F430 to mention a few.

PE Hip Hop

The most frequent question we get asked is why we so quiet. The truth is we are compared to previous years. The reason for this is because each of us had to focus on other things beside music, but it doesn't mean that we done.

What is pleasing is to see is that PE Hip Hop is not asleep either and that's mostly thanks to the Twinz and Earl and Agemi. They say one has to give repect where respect's due and to these two groups I have give a big thanks.

If it wasn't for Earl them PE hip hop wouldn't be where it is now, although it hasn't reach the heights that it should yet, at least theirs a platform for aspiring artists to build from. The time when Earl them came on the scene we were already busy recording our first album(original beats), but it was thanks to them that we had our first show. They never gave up and get their momentum going and are one of the most recognisable people to come out of PE.

As for the Twinz they provide me with so much inspiration for what they doing at the moment. They just completed a tour to JHB where they rocked the crowds and recorded songs for the Jam Sandwhich album. There positive and professional attitude is what's taking them to this new heights. So upstand ouens doen julle ding PE is agter julle.
They say second time lucky and that's a phrase that seemed to have worked for them, although its more hard work than luck if you ask me.

As for us we still continuing to make music albeit at a slower pace than before. As we patiently awaiting the return of Bozie, who is studying Sound Engineering in JHB. This year he has already met up with JR and Proverb and his beats has been used by his lecturer for a mixed genre album to be distributed nationally. In the meantime Dr B, Mr Bess and myself are still keeping the flag flying down here in PE.

We will keep our sites updated regularly with everything and everyone that's making waves on the PE scene.
PE Hip Hop finally has its own voice!
